Because of unacceptably high winds, the Saturday morning balloon launch was cancelled. A couple of the balloonists tried to at least stage tethered displays, but most didn't get beyond partial inflation of their envelopes. This, the first, was the only one to complete the process, and actually lifted off the ground. Even anchored to two substantial trucks, though, the stiff breeze made operations impractical, and all of the balloons were packed up less than half an hour after the first efforts were started.
